This trip will open your eyes to new perspectives as you learn about the rich culture and history of the Navajo Nation with Indigenous guides welcoming you upon their traditional lands. You’ll see ancient petrified sand dunes, towering sandstone cliffs, remarkable hoodoo formations, and of course the majestic Grand Canyon itself. In all of its vast immensity, the word ‘grand’ feels like an understatement for this breathtaking natural wonder. Its iconic silhouettes have expanded over millions of years thanks to the flowing waters of the mighty Colorado River. Water will be another important theme throughout this trip, as we explore the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable resource management in our own home country and in the communities MEDLIFE works with in Latin America and Africa.

This adventure will not only give you the chance to connect with nature, hike world-renowned trails, and sleep under the stars. On top of all this, it will inspire you to take action as a global citizen with a renewed passion for building a world free from the constraints of poverty.

Rise and shine early this morning to enjoy the world-renowned Angel’s Landing hike. The rays of sunlight will illuminate the landscape as you set off on an unforgettable adventure. The trail follows the line of a narrow ridge while ascending 1500 ft (457 meters) above the canyon floor. The spectacular views will take your breath away as you witness the fin-shaped mountain formation of Angel’s Landing jutting out into the main canyon. A short drive this morning will take you to an elevation of 8000 ft (2438 m) as you reach Bryce National Park.
