On July 11th & 12th, you can join our Virtual Service Learning Trip (VSLT) and be part of an impactful experience that combines education on global health topics, community engagement, and cultural exchange.
What Is A Virtual Service Learning Trip?
Our Virtual SLTs are designed to provide participants with an immersive experience that mirrors our traditional in-person trips. Over the course of two days, participants will explore key topics like global health, poverty, and inequality with an experienced MEDLIFE staff member. The VSLT also offers more than just a typical virtual class. Students get to experience participation-based sessions that highlight the social, economic, and historical factors impacting underserved communities. They will also learn how MEDLIFE collaborates with these communities to create sustainable change.
A key highlight of our VSLTs is the opportunity to connect directly with local professionals in healthcare, education, and development, as well as community leaders. Through virtual Q&A sessions and roundtable discussions, our local leaders will provide unique insight and meaningful exchange about the work they do in the field and what students can learn from them.
