What Is The Global Perspective leadership Workshop?
The Global Perspective Leadership Workshop (GPL) is an interactive online workshop designed for MEDLIFE participants to explore and develop leadership skills in both personal and global contexts. Conducted over Zoom on April 16th and 23rd, the workshop delves into various leadership themes, offering insights and strategies to become effective leaders in one’s community and on a global scale. By framing these discussions within the scope of MEDLIFE’s mission, the workshop makes the concepts of leadership development relatable and inspiring for younger individuals, encouraging them to embrace and excel in leadership roles. Leadership training programs for high school students like the GPL are excellent to include on resumes and university applications, showcasing your dedication to learning and growing outside of school activities.
Themes Discussed
During the workshop, participants will receive guidance from our talented MEDLIFE staff as they explore the following themes:
- Influence
- Communication
- Developing leadership skills
- Qualities of effective leadership
- Personal reflections on leadership
Participants will be able to have roundtable discussions about these themes and will be encouraged to share their thoughts, opinions, and experiences with one another. Leadership training programs for high school students like the GPL allow participants to interact with these topics amongst their peers and our staff in a structured learning environment. GPL participants will be able to harness their public speaking skills, develop new ideas about leadership, and learn from other’s perspectives.
Who Can Join?
The workshop is available to any high school students who are looking to expand their leadership skills. Registration is 100% free and closes on April 12th!
